ROSENBERG LIBRARY

The Rosenberg Library, at 2310 Sealy (telephone 763-8854), is a nice quiet refuge from the hustle and bustle of UTMB. The hours are convenient: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The library is closed on Sunday.

A library card is free for the asking, but you must present a valid ID card for address verification.

In addition to a large inventory of books, the Rosenberg Library offers art displays, a Great Books reading program and a fine collection of Galveston and Texas history. They also have a fine rare book collection, several large conference rooms, audio-visual equipment (which can be checked out), and a large children's section, all housed inside a 1904 Italian Renaissance and 1971 marble Cube structure. An excellent loan service for records, paperbacks and current magazines makes the library a resource worth using on a regular basis.

One of he best deals in town is the Library's noon film series for adults. General interest films are shown free-of-charge every Tuesday (except in summer months) at noon in the Wortham Auditorium. There has also, in the past, been a free once-a-month film festival for adults in the evenings: call 763-2526 for further information and a listing of events.

FILMS

In addition to the Rosenberg Library's film festival, UTMB's SGA offers movies almost evry Friday night when classes are in session. SGA movies are free for students and are generally shown in the Levin Hall Building Auditorium. Schedules are posted around campus.
