The Master of Physical Therapy Degree
Admissions Information (For applicants applying for class starting in in Fall of 2004. To be eligible you must be able to show that you will be able to complete your Bachelors' degree and UTMB pre-requisites on or before the end of Summer I semester 2004). |
*What is meant by "deadline"? - In a "rolling admission" process there is no firm deadline for receiving applications. The December 3, 2003 "deadline" means that candidate must submit the application on or before that date to ensure "priority" treatment of her/his application acceptance of the application or "priority" acceptance as a student in the next PT class. Applications may be accepted at any time up to and including July 15, 2004. However, the class will be chosen first from those qualified applicants submitting a complete application on or before December 1, 2003. As long as there are slots still open in the class starting August 25, 2004, applications will be accepted.
Is there any advantage to submitting my completed application and documentation before the "deadline"? There certainly is an advantage. The sooner we receive your application the sooner we can process it and invite you for an interview. The sooner we interview you the sooner we can let you know whether or not you are accepted. Invitations for interview and acceptance decisions are done on a "first-come-first-served" basis. If your application is rated exactly the same as another applicant, your are both rated as accepted, and you have submitted your application first, you will be selected before the other applicant.
When are applications available? - Applications
are available at all times on line from the UTMB registrar's
office. Admission packets are sent out on request starting on
or about August 1 each year.
* The following
"deadlines" are for those who wish priority or first
admission.
