Take the Quiz - following today's (5-26-04) take this quiz and report back on how well you do.

12B. Search the web or journals for an article dealing with reimbursement of respiratory care services in alternate care sites. Provide a review of the article and its' implications for respiratory therapists.  No duplicate articles will be accepted.

12C. Documentation is very important in the alternate care sites. Faulty documentation can result in loss of reimbursement and additional paperwork to correct the problem. Be familiar with the documentation listed
in Ch. 12.

  1. Initial evaluation (including rehabilitation potential)
  2. Care plan
  3. Daily therapy documentation
  4. Weekly summary
  5. Discharge summary

For your own protection check through your records to confirm that you are current on recommended immunizations. If not contact your employee health office or personal physician for immunizations and boosters.
